$servername.krg是干什么用的？

sybase启动的时候，有时报如下错误：

00:00000:00000:2006/09/08 17:05:44.99 kernel  os_create_keyfile: Shared memory segment /opt/sybase-12.5/ASE/$servername.krg is in use. Check if SQL Server is already running. If NOT remove old .srg/.krg files & restart.
00:00000:00000:2006/09/08 17:05:44.99 kernel  kbcreate: couldn't get shmid for kernel region.
00:00000:00000:2006/09/08 17:05:44.99 kernel  kistartup: could not create shared memory
偶然出现的现象，下次重启就没有了。那位大侠能详细讲解一下吗？
客户非要刨根问底啊，我这点水平罩不住了。

查到sybase启动之后会产生这个文件，正常关闭sybase服务会删除此文件。使用kill命令的话就留下这个文件。
但是平常都是用kill干掉sybase进程的，再启动也没有遇到过类似问题，只有这次在用户那里，系统掉电，非正常关机之后，系统启动时，数据库启动就不行了。重启系统之后好了，但用户非要刨根问底，郁闷死！

The .krg file is the ASE shared memory file that ASE creates upon startup. This needs to be newly created upon each restart.

With a graceful shutdown, ASE deletes the .krg file and then is able to recreate it upon restarting. With an ungraceful shutdown, ASE is often not able to clean out the files it would with a normal shutdown, which often results in the .krg file not being deleted.

Shutdown with nowait or power outage is the most common cause of the .krg file being left behind.
