Position: CS Core Product Test Engineer
(Work Location: Guangzhou)
Responsibilities:
•       Test/Validate GSM/UMTS CS(Circuit-Switched) Core Network products according to product specifications and development standards.
•       Analyze and track technical issues found during product test cycle, work closely with design team for issue resolutions.
Requirements:
•       Degree(s) in Telecommunications/Electronics Engineering/Computer Science
•       Excellent understandings in GSM/UMTS CS Core Network architecture, Protocols and the relevant Industry Standards.

Position title: Product Test Engineer (WLAN)

Responsibilities:
       •      Test/verify Nortel’s WLAN product against specified requirements
       •      Find defects in the product so that they are not delivered to the customer
       •      Support customer testing and/or demonstrations
       •      Maintain and manage test bed environment during product test activities
       •      Solidify interfaces to other development organizations
Requirements:

Position: WMN Senior Hardware Designer

Responsibility:
•        A senior hardware designer is required immediately to joint our Wireless Mesh Networks design sustaining team to support design cost reduction, safety / homologation, and production. To guide junior engineers is a routine for the position.

Requirements:
•   Bachelor degree or above of electrical engineering or equivalent
•         Minimum 3 years experience of hardware design covering digital, RF and power supply in telecom area or equivalent.
•         Knowledge of Cadence design tool is preferred.
•         VHDL programming is preferred.

Responsibilities:
        Prime for Quality Improvement Project and BCP development and management
        Conduct on-going internal audits and perform post-audit analysis;
        Plan and organize quality training to the entire team, basic and advanced;
        Provide QMS Client Services to assigned functional teams.
        Identify the opportunity for quality improvement based on facts and lessons learned;

•        Be responsible for the immediate investigation and recovery of system outage and degradation and the follow up analysis leading to the final resolution of the root cause of the problems
•        To provide prompt and timely investigations and resolution for field problems in GPRS/GSM/UMTS products.  Provide technical assistance to our field service-engineering group in Asia
•        To interface with oversea Design and Design Support group to investigate and resolve design issues.  Work with VO product groups or integration team to be service readiness of new release and product
Requirements:
•        Minimum one year working experience in Telecom design or field support or testing. Willing to carry after hour support mobile on the rotation basis and to travel to Asia customer sites as required
•        Min 1 year working experience in GSM / GPRS field support services TAS/ETAS /VO function is preferred

Position: GNTS Engineer, NGN
(Work Location: Guangzhou)
Responsibilities:
The Global Network Technical Support (GNTS) Engineer provides NGN CS2KC and MCS product in service case management technical support to Customer, Customer Service Account Management (CSAM) organizations under the guidance of more experienced GNTS staff members.
•        Perform technical issue (CSR - customer service report) investigation.
•        Perform NGN CS2KC  and MCS problem investigation and hardware defect trouble-shooting based on OM and  logs provided by system  and physical observation
•        Productivity enhancements through use of tailor-made tools and process compliance under direction of experienced staff.
•        Development of NGN CS2KC  and MCS product and tools knowledge and skills to achieve Senior Staff  qualification.
•        Makes decisions under guidance of experienced staff and following established precedents and known practices.
•        Escalates any issue requiring assistance to more senior staff within the group.
•        Negotiate with Nortel Technologies/Customer on target dates to deliver corrective/preventative solutions under guidance of more experienced staff.
