Developer Technical Team Lead
Job Description:
The developer technical team lead position is suited for experience and highly motivated and energetic individuals with a desire to work on object-oriented product development on Windows and different flavors of UNIX environments. You will lead a team of developers who are responsible for participating in product/feature development releases, interacting with customers on technical issues, fixing the product defects, enhancing as well as developing EIM products' features to customer. The EIM products include Data Integrator, Composer, BusinessObjects Metadata Manager and its applications / Interfaces such as JMS Adapter, SFDC Adapter, etc.

Responsibilities
■Lead a team of software developers whom are responsible for EIM product development and maintenance.
■Demonstrate a strong technical leadership for the team.
■Drive the team toward project objectives, manage project schedule, track and monitor milestones and deliverables to ensure projects move through the Product Life Cycle (PLC) smoothly, milestones are accomplished and schedules achieved on time with high quality.
■Ensure the team has appropriate methodologies and working practices, and is working in the most efficient and effective way.
■Understand the big picture of projects as well as the product feature set.
■Coordinate and communicate across teams and multi-sites effectively and efficiently.
■Help team resolve problems, blocking issues, or progress on their activities.
■Manage, coach, motive team, and train new engineers on product architecture and technologies.

Requirements
■Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science, EECS or foreign degree equivalent.
■Excellent knowledge of general software development methodologies.
■Previous experience developing commercial software which was distributed to end-users for installation on Windows and/or Unix systems and participated in the entire software PDLC is required.
■Previous experience in leading and managing a software development team.
■Demonstrated experience with leading projects and an ability to execute and deliver results in a timely and effective manner with ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects under tight time constraints.
■Good team building, organization and interpersonal skills.
■Good and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
■Good verbal/written English communication skill.
■Detail-oriented and well organized.
■Willing to work with remote team in different time zone.
■3+ year experience in C/C++ programming.
■Experience on Windows development environment.
■Experience on at least one flavor of the UNIX development environments (e.g. Solaris, Linux, AIX, or HP.).
■Knowledge in Object-Oriented Methodologies and architectures.
■Experience in multi-threaded, multi-processing, signal, IPC, STL programming.
■Experience in Data Structure and Algorithms.
■Experience in Process Management, Thread Management, Memory Management.
■Experience with RDBMS such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Informix; ODBC interfaces.
■Experience in Windows MFC and SDK is a plus.
■Experience in Java programming.
■Knowledge XML is a plus.
■Knowledge of 64-bit programming is a plus.
■Strong debugging and problem solving skills.
■Ability to learn quickly while applying knowledge effectively.

■Strong technical leadership and knowledge in testing methodologies, design and implementation, with some experience in automation methodologies.
■Drive the team toward project objectives, manage project schedule, track and monitor milestones and deliverables to ensure projects move through the Product Life Cycle (PLC) smoothly, milestones are accomplished and schedules achieved on time with high quality.
■Coordinate and communicate across teams and multi-sites effectively and efficiently.
■Manage, coach, motive team, and train new engineers on product knowledge and technologies.
■Design and develop tests infrastructure for various C++ features/modules as well as web-based applications.
■Design and develop project test plans/specifications, testing strategy and test cases including functional, integration, performance, stress/volume testing.
■Develop, execute and maintain manual and automated test procedures to deliver highest quality products.
■Install, configure and maintain the hardware and software on various Windows and UNIX testing environments.
■Report, track, and manage defect resolution to the closure.
■Perform test analysis through the use of metrics.
■Develop an automation strategy using the latest home-grown or industrial automation tools.

Requirements:
■5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance field and a BSCS in Computer Science or equivalent.
■Excellent knowledge of general software development and test methodologies.
■Previous experience in leading and managing a software quality assurance team.
■Demonstrated experience with leading projects and an ability to execute and deliver results in a timely and effective manner with ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects under tight time constraints.
■Good team building, organization and interpersonal skills.

■Must be able to write queries with complex where clauses and multiple tables join.
■Advanced knowledge of Operating Systems, Internet technology, databases and QA methodology/process.
■Must have experience in developing test plan and specification.
■Ability to plan, scope, schedule and execute test plan.
■Proficient in testing products according to company's QA process, methodology and automation test tools.
■Must have strong failure analysis skill and ability to narrow down area of problem.
■Ability to self-learn, work on multi-tasking and act on own initiative are required.
■Have ability to lead/drive for resolution and closure.
■Have ability to train other analysts in procedures.
■Participate in defining automation test objectives, strategies, infrastructure and standards.
Desired Experience/Skills:
■Data Integration (ETL) knowledge or Data Warehousing concept is a plus.
■SAP, Siebel, JDE, Adapters (e.g. MQ Series, Trillium) knowledge is a plus.
■EAI integration knowledge is the plus.
■Experience white box testing Java code with JTest or JUnit is a plus.
■Knowledge GUI industrial automation tools.
■Ability to train and support end users is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:
1.Architect, design, prototype, implement, integrate, document and maintain the C++ Crystal Reports from data accessing to report processing and presentations.
2.Provides leadership, expertise and sound technical judgment to lead and execute multiple complex tasks.
3.Identify and advocate for new technologies to feature development, performance improvement and process improvement of our products.

Education and Experiences:

c.Worked on large scale C++ project (over 200,000 lines of code)
d.Understand and be able to use commonly used C++ techniques like exceptions and templates
2.Working experience on large commercial software products
3.Good knowledge about Windows operation systems and Windows SDK
4.Good knowledge about MFC and Windows GUI programming
5.Good knowledge about commonly used designed patterns
6.Good knowledge about databases (SQL, stored procedure, etc) and programming APIs (ODBC, OLE DB, ADO and ADO .Net)
7.Knowing the following are pluses

As a member of the SDC Engineering team, you will lead a small team of Software Developers or Test Developers to ensure the quality of Business Objects'products. Your team will help on building top quality, innovative products to existing integration solutions, writing code to migrate features from core products to partners' IDE such as Visual Studio. You should also help the team to deliver secure, robust, scalable and efficient code to meet this requirement. You must be a team player who is self-motivated, works independently, have a "can-do" attitude.
You will be responsible for managing the team across multiple projects, tracking and monitoring milestones and deliverables and ensuring that the correct methodologies and working practices are implemented across the team.

Responsibilities:
■Managing the software development or testing team in the production of new features in Business Objects integration with developer product such as Visual Studio, ensuring that projects move through the Product Life Cycle (PLC) smoothly and that milestones are accomplished and schedules achieved on time with high quality standard in mind;
Ensuring that the team has appropriate methodologies and working practices and is working in the most efficient and effective way;
■Building excellent working relationships with other development or testing teams, as well as product/program management team including the teams from other Business Objects development center to ensure high quality product are produced;

Required Skills

■2-3 years of hands on experience in software development or software testing, preferably in both a C++/.Net as well as a Java environment
