Well, it you turn off the power of the machine, you have to restart the installation. If you leave the power on, you can always come back and continue your installation as long as you don't quit out.
Solaris installatio is divided into three stages: system identification, system configuration and installation.
If you are at system identification stage, you are entering system id infomation such as hostname, IP, timezone etc. If the installation is interrupted at this stage, nothing is done to the system. You can use sysidtool to resume the process.
If you are in system configuration stage, the disks will be partitioned. Nothing else is changed
If you are in installation stage, files will be copied the the machine. If you interrput the process at this stage, you will have to reinstall. |
