Job Description: The Engagement Manager will take full responsibilities leading the offshore delivery teams to ensure on time, quality delivery of client projects while achieving revenue and margin targets. This is an executive level position where proven strong leadership ability, problem solving skills, communication skills and client expectation management experiences are to be demonstrated.
Executive level working experiences with well recognized organizations are required. Deep understanding of global sourcing process, SDLC, CMMI and quality framework are fundamentals to be successful in this position. Successful track records with global sourcing companies, consulting companies is big plus.
Responsibilities: Ultimately responsible for the project teams’ performance and success of the offshore delivery
★Engagement Management
--Work closely with onsite management team and account managers to clearly understand contractual obligations, requirements and expectations
--Collaborate with onsite management teams to negotiate project constraints and manage stakeholders’ expectations
--Manage multiple, and often conflicting priorities. Make judgmental decisions under difficult situations
--Ensure high quality deliveries by adhering established project management methodologies and processes while achieving revenue, profitability and other essential measurements, as well as comply with all project constraints, i.e. security, IP, auditing, record retention etc.
--Establish productive relationships between onsite teams, client teams and offshore delivery teams to cultivate collaborative environments to maximize productivities and effectiveness
--Develop and implement solid communication framework for the engagement at various levels
--Work closely with the management teams to proactively identify issues and risks, monitor progressive status, resolve issues and mitigate risks
--Actively seeking opportunities to understand clients’ strategic directions, objectives, and business implications; align team efforts accordingly
★Team Management
--Work closely with HR and Practices to assemble best available project teams according to pre-established SLA and/or negotiated timelines
--Establish clear roles and responsibilities, chain of commands and escalation paths. Provide adequate training and hold people responsible
--Motivate team members by establishing achievable yet challenging goals, and encouraging creative thinking, innovative solutions and strong team work
--Make career development, mentorship, coaching, regular performance feedback an integral part of team management
--Closely monitor the staffing risks and actively manage those
--Lead team through various challenges and difficult situations that may encounter without sacrificing integrities; turn tough situations into learning experiences
★Internal Management
--Keep management team informed by providing dash board and status reporting according to established communication framework
--Discover issues and risks that need management attention, provide analysis, propose solutions in a timely manner
--Share lessons learned and best practices with other teams to promote maturity and growth
--Propose and drive cross functional initiatives to enhance the efficiency, reduce overhead & cost, increase team satisfaction
--As part of the senior delivery management team, actively participate in recruitment, hiring, succession planning, future leader identification and development
Qualifications:
Required:
--10+ years of working experiences in the IT area with increasing responsibilities at executive level with well recognized organizations
--At least 5 years of experience in an engagement/project manager
--Experienced in managing large software development teams delivering projects to remote customers are essential
--Independent and result focused in a fast past environment, get the job done
--Demonstrated experiences in staff development, coaching, performance management
--Self motivated, strong initiative taking to enhance the operational efficiency within own engagement and cross functional areas
--Strong communication skills – verbal and written in both English and Chinese
--Must be able to handle executive level contacts, and also IT management and Vendor management contacts.
--Strong critical thinking ability, as well as excellent analytical and problem solving skills
--Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or engineering.

---Full cycle of sales support, i.e. sales calls, presentation, proposal development
---Fundamental financial management understanding, proficiency in understanding and building cost/benefits models
