Job Title: Senior Software Development Manager

• Over 5 years of experience in managing development of networking applications for Broadband Access and/or carrier equipment.
• Proven experience in embedded software development, integration, and SQA.

Mission Statement: Marvell is investing in technologies, which will build the Internet 3.0. The new products are in the segment of home networking, Optical Access and carrier network. Marvell brings the excellence of technology execution to China customer base, and work closely with key suppliers to bring to market competitive and technology driven products.
Marvell recognizes that significant technology development is needed for China market, and is establishing a development center in China to develop software packages for Marvell’s new AVANTA family of devices.
Localizing development specializing in the China market will accelerate Marvell technology proliferation into the following key segments: CPU applications, PON based broadband access, and other Marvell growing products.
Description: Highly knowledgeable software manager is needed, to work closely with Marvell software R&D center in Israel.
The SW manager will be part of the definition of unique china customer needs and will drive the development to specific China telecommunications requirement.
The individual is expected to build a team of highly qualified SW developers and testers.
1. Build from ground-up a team capable of understanding communications-centric code base, and able to develop and test software, based on specific requirements of China customers
2. Support full development cycle
3. The software packages are aimed at broadband access, single and multi core embedded CPU application (control and data-place), L2/L3 networking, and management protocols
4. Exceptional communication skills, ability to set priorities, address problems in real time with very little guidance
5. Excellent leadership skills, able to serve as technical mentor, and energizing leader for a team
Experience with the Following is an advantage:
1. Debugging and writing code for LSP, drivers, L2/3/4 applications, management, and integration of packages in Linux environment
2. Full software development cycle: design, development, testing, debug, interoperability, performance-tuning
3. Translating customers’ requirements to a development and execution plan
4. Experience with system design and of CPU architecture
5. Experience with PON and Home Gateway applications

Job Title: Customer Solution Engineer (Software)
Job Category: Marketing
Qualifications: BS EE required, minimum of 5 years experience in embedded CPU applications and Broadband industry. Desirable experience as FAE/AE or System Engineering with ZTE, China Telecom and Huawei
Description: A customer solution Engineer will be part of a virtual team approaching a customer design win, and will take over the responsibility from the point of design win through project execution, fulfillment to revenue ramp-up. The position entails strong customer facing skills, ability to understand software building blocks (applicable to broadband access), porting and configuration of customer software, ability to overcome technical and architecture obstacles in real time. The customer solutions involved CPU centric technologies (single and multi-core, CPU drivers/BSP, Linux OS, Networking protocols, Hardware Acceleration Engines, xPON and carrier access protocols) and requires familiarity with Software building blocks, architecture, standards, underlining hardware and software design.
The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure successful end customer product delivery.
10. Participate in the design win campaign, and help architect the product, accomplish proper SW architecture which integrate Marvell driver/BSP and reference SW with Customer SW stream
11. Support customer SW and QA engineers in the project execution, by offering top-notch understanding of the technology and customer design. Proactively offer work-around, and technical solutions to development challenges
12. participate with the marketing and product teams in the design of winning strategy tying schedule, portfolio advantages and execution capabilities into the marketing campaign
13. Assist in the architecture evaluation, solution proposal, making sure the technical features and functionality meet customer request and fit into the latest Marvell portfolio
14. Able to rapidly transform generic customer win into cohesive execution plan that encompass BSP and operating systems, application and driver SW porting, performance tuning, QA and interoperability tests
15. communications skills, ability to be part of the integrated customer engineering teams and support (application engineers, FAEs and HW designer) the customer in convincing technical and solution management
16. Excellent communications skills (experience with global teams is highly desired)
17. High energy, motivation and execution mentality. Able to mobilize execution teams while focus on end goals
Key geography and customers will be Shanghai China, with possibilities to extend to greater china.
Familiar and experience with the Following:
9. CPU (ARM family) single and multicore
10. Ability to debug BSP, drivers, application code and integration of packages in Linux environment
11. Familiar with support of customers SW development of broadband access (broadband access, Gateways and MDU)
12. Intimate details of supporting Tier-1 broadband access Chinese suppliers
13. Managing SW porting, QA, Features fulfillment
14. Experience of embedded CPU, control plane, Layer 2/3 networking protocols, , CPUs, metro Ethernet, Edge Routers, Business Gateways
15. Experience with system design of CPU and Controllers (System on Chip)
