Since the interface does not show up in the output of prtconf, you will set the instance based on ifconfig output.
Instance refers to the interface #.
iprb0 -->; instance 0
iprb1 -->; instance 1
iprb2 -->; instance 2
Using /kernel/drv/iprb.conf file as below for forcing iprb0 interface to 100 Full duplex:
# vi /kernel/drv/iprb.conf
# Driver.conf file for the [NIC card here]
#
# Copyright (c) 1996, by Sun Microsystems, Inc.
# All Rights Reserved.
#
#ident "@(#)iprb.conf 1.5 98/11/06 SMI"
#
name="iprb" parent="pseudo" instance=0 speed=100 full-duplex=1;
Q. How do you set iprb parameter for more than one iprb interface?
Following lines in /kernel/drv/iprb.conf file will force
iprb0 ----->; 100 fdx
iprb1 ----->; 10 hdx
iprb2 ----->; 100 fdx
# vi /kernel/drv/iprb.conf
name="iprb" parent="pseudo" instance=0 speed=100 full-duplex=1;
name="iprb" parent="pseudo" instance=1 speed=10 full-duplex=0;
name="iprb" parent="pseudo" instance=2 speed=100 full-duplex=1; |
