It appears that you have recently made a donation to OpenSSH (or
OpenBSD) via paypal. This is going to make a difference.
If your donation was specifically for OpenSSH, let me tell you that
everything affects OpenSSH quality. For instance right now I am
working in the OpenBSD tree to significantly impove a tool called
lint(1) which will be used to audit the OpenSSH tree to remove a
difficult (poorly understood) class of flaws which normally express
themselves as integer truncation or sign extension, as a result of
poor type using (ie. mixing long, int, size_t and such). No other
operating system has this tool yet. Once we have it, we can use it to
audit OpenSSH and make it better -- for everyone, on all operating
systems! But thanks to your quantity of specific donations we also
have added a specific OpenSSH mini-hackathon to our schedule for the
next year.
I must thank you. We hope that we can keep writing software that you
use for a long long time.

Open Source means some restrictions apply, limits are placed, often quite
severe. Free Software has _no_ serious restrictions. OpenBSD is Free Software. |
